New Delhi, 1st March, 2024.
The Government cleared incentives to be given to the Tata Group in order for it to set up India’s first semiconductor fabrication unit of India. This marks yet another milestone in India’s march towards becoming a hub of semiconductor production.
The Government also gave the go-ahead to two more projects of the Tata Group to set up assembly, testing, marking and packaging units.
The cumulative investment of all three projects will be INR 1.26 lakh crore.
This will create 26,000 advanced technology jobs and 1,00,000 indirect jobs.
